Microsoft Cortana, Your New Personal Assistant

We all could use a little help in remembering our tasks from time to time. In the busy world we live in, it can be challenging to keep up with our day-to-day duties, and many times, emails and tasks out of the ordinary get lost. In a perfect world, we would all have an assistant that briefs us on our day and reminds us of tasks that may have been forgotten. Fortunately, Microsoft understands that most of us are not privileged enough to have a personal assistant, and instead, they created a virtual assistant for all of us. Introducing, Cortana Briefing Emails.
Cortana is capable of sending you a daily "briefing" email before the time that you typically start your day that breaks down your day and helps you be in control of your work day instead of merely surviving it.

What does Cortana's briefing email consist of:

  • Reminders of outstanding commitments, follow-ups, and requests within emails that may have been missed or forgotten

  • Attached documents that may need to be related and reviewed for today's meetings

  • Suggestions of time to block to focus on necessary independent work responsibilities

These briefing emails are 100% private and are pulled directly from the information within Outlook. So, you can rest assured that others within your organization, including your IT administrator or manager, can not push content or view your briefing email, which is sent directly to your mailbox.

In our busy schedules, we could all use a little assistance staying organized. Cortana's briefing emails are just that. Let Cortana scan all your pressing actionable tasks and give you back the extra time to complete the day's essential responsibilities. Briefing emails are now available to all who are using the Microsoft 365 stack.
